Week two of a "One Month to a Custom Home" with Touchstone
Two weeks down and two to go on our “One Month to a Custom Home” project. Life has been breathed into the project as progress moves along on the interior finishing. We are right on track in our scheduling, and things won’t be slowing down next week. Here is what this week looked like at the house.
…and because Gantt charts and words aren’t the exciting part of this post (I hope!), here are some progress pictures of the house.
^ You'll notice that the main coat of paint (Benjamin Moore, Storm AF-700) has been added to the walls giving a better impression of what the finished product will look like. This picture also shows off the new grey hardwood that went in at the beginning of the week.
The washrooms are almost complete. The vanities are finished with 'White Carrara' laminate countertops (Wilsonart).
^ Carpet was completed on the second floor as well as the stairs. The carpet's light pattern gives it added texture.
On Saturday we watched the garage go up quickly and by Monday afternoon the shingles were completed. Siding on the garage is slated to be completed next week.
With spring now here…hopefully….possibly….maybe, we hope to see more good weather so that we can finish skirting-in the deck next week.
As we reach the halfway point on our project we are feeling pretty good with how things are going and are looking forward to the changes that will come with next week!
This past week we had holds put on two of our four remaining Benchmark style homes. Be sure to check out our inventory page to see what is available!
Til next week,
